Traditional Ecological Knowledge Lessons
Our lab partnered with the nonprofit Science Delivered, along with other collaborators, to develop a set of 5th-grade science lessons centered on Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and wildlife ecology. WESIP at Hopi Earth Day
WESIP partnered with the Southwest Climate Resilience Center at Northern Arizona University to participate in Tuuwaquatsi Hopivewat - Earth Day the Hopi Way, held in Kykotsmovi, AZ. This event was organized by the Hopi Department of Natural Resources and brought together community members and organizations focused on environmental stewardship.
WESIP graduate student, Destiny, joined another graduate student, Connor, to lead hands-on learning stations for students, highlighting the connections between trees, climate, and wildlife.
